College Archivist Arthur Miller was featured on WTTW's public affairs show Chicago Tonight in a segment about a 19th-century Lake Forest home that is for sale. The episode aired August 22.
The Associated Press cited Lake Forest College's Donnelley and Lee Library in an article about how renovated college libraries provide modern amenities such as cafes and new spaces for students to interact.
Vice President of Admissions BILL MOTZER was quoted in an August 12 Chicago Tribune Sunday magazine article on trends in searching for a college in the annual "College Issue." He discussed how Lake Forest College's application requires a high school paper instead of an essay to get a better sense of how a student writes and noted the increase in international students, who "bring interesting perspectives from cultures and experiences and political backgrounds," he said.

The Daily Herald featured CRIS NOLAN '08 in a July 31 article about a question he asked to the Democratic presidential candidates in the "YouTube" debate. Nolan's question was one of 38 selected from a pool of nearly 3,000 people who submitted videos.

Head swim coach DAN SHELLEY was named Athlete of the Month in the July 2007 issue of Windy City Sports, a magazine that covers sports in the Chicago area. Shelley, an Ironman triathalete, has coached 44 conference champions, 14 All Americans, three national champions, and three olympians in his 10-year career.
Professor of History, Emeritus, MICHAEL H. EBNER published the article "North Shore Town and Gown" in the summer 2007 issue of Chicago History, the magazine of the Chicago History Museum.
