Kat Mikuta Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Freshman excelled on offense and defense at Lawrence

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest College women’s soccer player Kat Mikuta (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (October 2) for her performance in the team’s 2-0 Midwest Conference victory at Lawrence University the previous Saturday (September 27).

Mikuta, a freshman, scored in the 82nd minute to give Lake Forest a 2-0 lead in the contest. She also marked the Vikings’ top offensive threat throughout the game and limited her to just three shots.

Mikuta currently leads Lake Forest with four goals on the season.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
