The Commuter Student Web Resource
Commuters are an important part of the Lake Forest College community, and the Commuter Student Web Resource is designed to be a one-stop shop to answer questions related to commuting: parking, campus services, meeting others, and more.
The Gates Center for Leadership and Personal Growth invites you to stop by (we're located across from the Durand Commons cafeteria) or telephone at: (847) 735-5211 if we can be of service, or just to say "hello." We are eager to make your Lake Forest College experience the best it can be.

"Forester Flex Dollars" are a pay as you go declining balance, used in any of our retail operations (Stuart Commons, Donnelley & Lee Library, the Mohr Student Center, Nollen, and Deerpath) and in the Stuart Commons dining room. "Forester Flex Dollars" works like a bank debit card. Your purchase at a campus restaurant is subtracted from your account. If you prefer to eat in our retail restaurants, this dining membership is best for you. Open a "Forester Flex Dollar" account with as little as $50. Average student buying habits suggest that $300 per semester is a good start. Plus, you’ll get a 5% bonus on any initial deposit of $50 or more.
We also have two commuter meal plans that are only available for the dining hall and at the grab and go deli ("Mohr Student Center Cafe'"). This dining option was established with the commuter student in mind. These options provide a set number of all-you-care-to-eat-meals in the Stuart Commons dining room or Mohr Student Center. Your dining/ID card gains your access to the dining room where the meal will then be deducted from the balance in your account. The two types of plans are the "Forester 50" which consists of 50 meals that can be used for any meal in our dining room or deli for $250. The "Forester 50 Plus," which also consists of 50 meals in our dining room, bundled with $55.00 in "Forester Flex Dollars" for $300. Each saves you time and money. Try a combination for the best of both.
