The Registrar's Office maintains a permanent academic record of registered courses for each student. This record includes grades, credits, cumulative GPA, degree and other information. Official transcripts are copies of these records that are signed by the Registrar and sealed with the embossed College seal. Official transcripts are subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.

You may order transcripts of your record by sending a signed request. (pdf file)

This can be done either by FAX (847-735-6276) or by mail to:

Please include the following information:

  1. request for the transcripts
  2. name used when attending the College
  3. complete directions for mailing or faxing the documents
  4. current phone number --- in case we have problems with the order
  5. mailing address for updating and billing
  6. SIGNATURE

Lake Forest College issues one transcript free of charge.  The charge for each additional transcript is $7.00.  Currently enrolled seniors are entitled to a maximum of 20 transcripts for graduate/professional school applications at $5.00 each. You may include a check or money order with mailed orders. Faxed orders are billed as we cannot process credit card payments.  Our billing/receipt statement is notification that the transcripts have been sent out.

Transcript orders normally take 2-3 days to process. Only official transcripts are available to former students. You may request transcripts sent to yourself. These are stamped across the envelope flap and are official as long as they remain unopened.

Personal financial accounts in the Business Office must be clear before transcripts are released.
