This course represents the final requirement of the French major at Lake Forest College. It includes workshops in the areas of translation (and interpreting), literary and stylistic analysis, as well as cultural studies of diverse areas of the Francophone world.

Students will post a representative sampling of their individual research on this page. This will include an excerpt of their translation, a biographic note on the author in question, formal and thematic comments about the work translated, as well as relevant cultural background information. This work will be posted in stages, and is to be considered "work in progress."
